Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin Visit PT Toros Farm Magelang, Review Halal Meat Production

About Semarang – Deputy Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, paid a working visit to PT Toros Farm Indonesia on Sunday (6/7/2025).

The halal meat processing company located in Tegalsari Hamlet, Dukun Village, Dukun District, Magelang Regency is under the auspices of the Tahfidz Sulaimaniyah Foundation.

This visit aims to directly monitor the process of halal meat production from upstream to downstream. Starting from livestock cultivation, slaughter according to Islamic law, processing, packaging, to distribution to the market.

“We are working with Bank Indonesia and Sulaimaniyah Islamic Boarding School to support the development of halal tourism. I want to ensure for yourself how the production process takes place,” said Taj Yasin, who is familiarly called Gus Yasin, quoted from wargatengge.com.

PT Toros Farm is now focused on producing frozen meat such as beef, goat and chicken. The company is also developing processed products such as sausages to meet the increasingly broad market needs.

According to Gus Yasin, the development of Toros Farm showed significant progress since he last visited two years ago.

“Alhamdulillah, now the production is far more abundant than two years ago. This is an extraordinary achievement,” he said.

In his remarks, Gus Yasin stressed the importance of ensuring the halal food products, especially in supporting the halal tourism program that was being intensified by the government.

He also ensured that PT Toros Farm had pocketed official halal certification.

Frozen meat products from Toros Farm have now been marketed to various regions in Central Java. Gus Yasin hopes that its distribution can be expanded throughout Indonesia so that Muslim communities in various regions can enjoy halal products that are guaranteed quality.

“We want this halal food guarantee to be available anywhere, not only in Central Java. This is important to meet the needs of the people,” he said.

He also appreciated the company’s initiative in empowering local breeders. PT Toros Farm provides training and assistance so that farmers can run businesses according to standards and environmentally friendly.

With the synergy between industry, pesantren, and government, Gus Yasin is optimistic that the halal meat sector can be an economic force while supporting the big mission of national halal tourism. ***
